How to Check Your Health Insurance in Saudi Arabia
Check your health insurance in Saudi Arabia using your Iqama, passport or border number through official chi/cchi/ia websites and apps.
You can check your health insurance in Saudi Arabia through the Council of Health Insurance (CHI) website or the Insurance Authority website. For insurance linked to your Iqama, you can also use Tawakkalna, Absher or CHI’s Daman app.
The website methods let you start with your Iqama number. Visitors, tourists and pilgrims should select the inquiry service for their visa type.
Checking from outside Saudi Arabia? The CHI website is currently not accessible from abroad. Use the Insurance Authority’s health insurance inquiry instead.
Check health insurance on the CHI website
The CHI Insurance Information Inquiry service lets Iqama holders look up their insurance. This is also commonly searched for as a CCHI insurance check.
- Open the official CHI inquiry page.
- Enter your Iqama number in the Identity Number field.
- Type the verification code shown in the image into the Code field.
- Read the personal-data consent statement and tick the checkbox if you agree.
- Click OK to submit the inquiry.
Review the insurance details returned for your Iqama. If the CHI page does not load, try the Insurance Authority method below.
Check health insurance on the Insurance Authority website
The Insurance Authority’s Health Insurance Information Inquiry is available for residents and Saudi citizens.
- Open the Insurance Authority’s health insurance check.
- Enter your Iqama number in the Identity Number field.
- Complete any verification requested on the page.
- Read and accept the terms and personal-data consent.
- Select Search to view the result.
The form requires a 10-digit identity number beginning with 1 or 2. Enter the number carefully, without spaces.
How to check your insurance expiry date and company

After the inquiry, review the insurer and validity information. Compare the displayed expiry date with the date for which you need coverage. If your policy has recently been renewed, check that you are viewing the renewed record.

Keep your policy details available when contacting your insurer. If the result is unclear, ask the company to confirm your current coverage.
An insurance expiry date is separate from your residency expiry date. You can also check your Iqama expiry date.
Check Iqama-linked insurance through apps and Absher
Tawakkalna
You can also view insurance information linked to your identity through Tawakkalna. Sign in to the official Tawakkalna app and look for the health insurance service.
Absher
Absher provides Public Query Health Insurance Validity (For Residents). It checks whether your health insurance is valid in Ministry of Interior records.
Open Absher, log in to your account and look for the resident health insurance validity inquiry.
This is useful when checking the insurance status recorded for residency services. For policy details and more information, use CHI, the Insurance Authority or Daman.
CHI’s Daman app
Daman, listed as ضمان يهتم, is the Council of Health Insurance’s official app. It lets you view insurance information for yourself and your family members, access your insurance card and see the approved medical network.
- Download the official app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Open the app and follow its sign-in instructions.
- Open your insurance information, or select the family member whose record you want to view.
- Review the available policy and medical-network details.
Check that the app’s publisher is Council of Health Insurance / CCHI when downloading it.
Visit visa insurance check
For a family visit visa, open the Visit Visa Travel Insurance Inquiry and select Get Started.
The service description specifies the passport number used when issuing the visa. Follow the identification fields on the inquiry form, accept the required consent, and submit your search.
Tourists should choose Travel Insurance (Tourism) Inquiry from the Insurance Authority’s services directory. Selecting the correct category helps you search for the appropriate policy.
Hajj and Umrah insurance check
Use the dedicated Hajj & Umrah Insurance Inquiry Service.
Select Get Started, then use the passport, visa or border number associated with the policy, as requested by the form. Accept the terms and select Search.
Premium Residency insurance check
Premium Residency holders can select Premium Residency Insurance Inquiry in the official services directory. This service covers inquiries for the holder and insured family members. Follow the identification requirements shown on its form.
What to do if your insurance does not appear
Try these checks before repeating the inquiry:
- Check the number: use the identification details associated with the policy.
- Check the service: residents, visit visa holders, tourists and pilgrims have different inquiry options.
- Retry verification: refresh an unreadable security code or reload a page that has failed to load.
- Ask about a recent renewal: contact your insurer or, for employer-arranged insurance, your HR team to confirm the policy details and investigate a missing record.
A missing result alone does not explain whether the problem is with the policy, the entered details or the website. Ask the insurer to clarify rather than assuming the coverage is active or cancelled.
