SAB noon Visa Credit Card: 10% Cashback, Fees and What to Know
SAB noon Visa Credit Card offers 10% cashback on eligible noon purchases. Check the cashback limits, annual fee, exclusions and other key terms.
Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) offers a noon Visa Credit Card that gives 10% cashback on eligible purchases across several noon platforms in Saudi Arabia. But before applying, it is worth looking beyond the headline cashback rate, as there are limits, fees and spending categories that earn much less.
Here is what you need to know about the SAB noon Visa Credit Card and how its cashback works.
10% Cashback on noon Purchases
The main benefit of the card is 10% cashback on eligible purchases on noon, noon Food, noon Minutes, Sivvi and Namshi.
The cashback is capped at SAR 1,000 per month and is given as noon credits, rather than cash deposited into your card/bank account.
Home services booked through Yammak are also eligible for a total 10% reward, but this is split into 9% Yammak credits and 1% noon credits.
What About Purchases Outside noon?
The card offers 2% cashback on eligible international purchases, with no stated monthly cashback limit.
Eligible domestic and EEA purchases generally earn 1% cashback, but there is an important catch. Many common domestic spending categories earn 75% less than the standard rate, effectively bringing the cashback down to around 0.25%.
These reduced-rate categories include supermarkets, restaurants, fast food, taxis, education, insurance, rent and real estate, clothing, cosmetics, car rentals and several other types of spending.
Some transactions do not earn cashback at all. These include cash withdrawals, SADAD utility payments, digital wallet payments and fuel/service station purchases, among other exclusions.
This means the card’s strongest cashback value is clearly on eligible noon purchases rather than general everyday spending.
SAR 250 Welcome Credits
New cardholders can receive a SAR 250 bonus in noon credits after completing their first successful transaction with the card.
The bonus credits expire six months from the date they are credited, so they need to be used within that period.
Cardholders also receive a complimentary noon One membership for two years, which provides benefits such as free delivery on eligible noon services.
0% Installments on noon
The card also provides the option to split eligible noon.com purchases into 3, 6 or 12-month installments at 0%.
According to noon, the order must be worth at least SAR 500 to use this option. Eligible installment transactions can still earn the 10% cashback in noon credits, subject to the monthly cashback limit and applicable terms.
How Much Does the Card Cost?
There is no issuance fee, while the annual fee is SAR 199, excluding VAT.
International transactions carry a 2% fee, excluding VAT.
SAB currently lists a 3.75% monthly profit rate and an APR of 62.76%, based on the bank’s stated calculation assumptions. These figures can change, so applicants should check the latest rates before applying.
The profit rate is particularly important for anyone who does not pay their credit card balance in full. Carrying an outstanding balance can quickly reduce or outweigh the value of the cashback earned.
Airport Lounge Access
The SAB noon card is a Visa Platinum card and includes limited airport lounge access.
Cardholders can receive two complimentary lounge visits per calendar year at participating lounges. To qualify, SAB states that customers must make international purchases worth at least SAR 375 during the previous 90 days, subject to the applicable Visa conditions.
The card also comes with selected Visa travel and assistance benefits.
Do You Need a SAB Bank Account?
You do not need an existing SAB bank account to apply for the credit card.
This can be useful for expats who receive their salary or do their everyday banking through another Saudi bank. However, applications are still subject to SAB’s eligibility requirements, credit assessment and approval.
According to noon, applicants also need to be physically present in Saudi Arabia to access the digital application process.
Is the SAB noon Visa Credit Card Worth It?
It depends largely on how often you use noon.
For someone who regularly orders from noon and its eligible platforms, the 10% cashback, SAR 250 welcome credits and two years of noon One membership could make the card useful despite its annual fee.
It may be less attractive as a general cashback card. Many common domestic spending categories earn only around 0.25%, while some transactions earn no cashback at all.
The other important point is that the 10% reward comes as noon credits, not cash. So the card offers the most value to people who already spend regularly within the noon ecosystem.
Before applying, check the latest cashback rules, fees, eligibility requirements and other terms directly with SAB, as credit card rates and benefits can change.
