How to Check Huroob Status in Saudi Arabia (2026)
Check your Huroob status in Saudi Arabia using Absher, HRSD, or Qiwa. Step-by-step guide for expats. Find out your status now and take action fast.
Most expats in Saudi Arabia don’t think about huroob until something goes wrong — a blocked Iqama renewal, a failed job transfer, or a sudden restriction on Absher. That’s usually when the search begins. Here’s how to check your status quickly using three official Saudi platforms.
What Is Huroob?
Huroob (هروب) means “runaway” or “absconding” in Arabic. It refers to a report filed by an employer claiming that an employee is absent from work without permission.
If a worker is reported, certain labor and immigration services may become restricted. Depending on the case and current regulations, it can also lead to legal action, deportation, or temporary re-entry restrictions.
Method 1: Check via Absher
Website: absher.sa
- Log in with your Absher username and password
- Go to your Dashboard → click More Details
- Check your employment and legal status
Look for labels like “Absent from Work” or “Restricted labor services.” Absher doesn’t always show the word “Huroob” clearly, so any unusual restriction is a warning sign.
Method 2: Check via HRSD Portal

This works even without an Absher account.
- Enter your Iqama number, Border number, or Passport number
- Select your nationality if searching by passport
- Complete the captcha and click Search
You’ll see your employer status, employment validity, and any absence or violation flags. This is the most reliable method for a direct labor status check.
Method 3: Check via Qiwa
Website: qiwa.sa
- Log in with your Absher-linked credentials
- Go to Employee Profile → Employment Status
- Check your mobility and transfer eligibility
If job transfer is disabled or you see “Employee not eligible for mobility,” that’s a red flag worth investigating.
Found a Huroob Report? Here’s What to Do
- Talk to your employer first. If it was a mistake, they can cancel it within 15 days through Absher or HRSD.
- File a complaint with HRSD if the report is false or retaliatory. Employers who misuse huroob can face fines up to SAR 20,000.
- Apply for a transfer or final exit through Qiwa if a grace period is currently active — check your account for notices.
- Do not work for another employer while under huroob. It’s illegal and makes things worse.
Scam warning: Be cautious of people claiming they can “remove huroob” from outside Saudi Arabia for a fee. Any genuine status update will appear only through official Saudi government platforms such as Absher, HRSD, or Qiwa.
Always verify the latest rules at the official portals before taking action, as policies in Saudi Arabia are updated periodically.
