How to Book a Tasheer Appointment for Saudi Visa in India

Learn how to book a Tasheer appointment for Saudi visa processing in India. Follow our step-by-step guide for a smooth application process.

If you are applying for a Saudi visa from India, you may need to visit a Tasheer Visa Service Centre to submit your application, documents and biometric information.

Tasheer, previously known as VFS Tasheel, provides visa application services on behalf of Saudi missions. Depending on the visa category, applicants can use Tasheer for document submission, biometric enrolment, visa-related fee collection and other services.

This guide explains how to book a Tasheer appointment in India, check available appointment dates, prepare the required documents and track your application.

Tasheer Visa Centres in India

Tasheer currently lists visa service centres in several Indian cities, including:

The available centre may depend on the Saudi mission handling your application.

Before travelling, check the Tasheer website for the latest centre address, working hours and holidays.

How to Check the Earliest Tasheer Appointment

Tasheer provides an “Earliest available appointment date” facility before you complete the booking.

After selecting your nationality, visa type, number of entries, visa validity and Saudi mission, the website displays the earliest available appointment for participating centres.

For example, when checked on September 15, 2026, Normal appointments were showing as early as September 16 at several centres, while Malappuram showed September 17. Availability can change at any time as appointments are booked or new slots are released.

The dates shown are only the earliest available slots. More appointment options may appear after you continue with the booking process.

Normal vs Lounge Tasheer Appointment

When booking, you may see two appointment categories:

Normal: The standard Tasheer visa application service.

Lounge: A premium service offering a more comfortable application experience at an additional cost.

Choosing Lounge service does not mean that your Saudi visa will be processed or approved faster. Tasheer states that Embassy/Consulate processing time has no relationship with whether you choose a Normal or Lounge appointment.

How to Book a Tasheer Appointment

1. Visit the Tasheer Website

Go to the Tasheer Visa Service website and select India – English.

Click Schedule an Appointment.

2. Select Your Visa Details

Enter the requested information, which may include:

Nationality: India or your applicable nationality

Visa Validity: As applicable

The options displayed can vary depending on the visa category.

3. Check Appointment Availability

You may see separate dates for Normal and Lounge appointments.

Choose a suitable centre and continue.

4. Accept the Terms and Conditions

Read the applicable conditions and confirm your acceptance before proceeding with the appointment.

5. Enter Your Application Details

For a family visit visa, you may be asked to provide details from the visa/invitation issued through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This can include the invitation or visa number and the sponsor’s information.

If the sponsor is an expatriate resident in Saudi Arabia, you may need their Iqama number. If the sponsor is a Saudi citizen, their Saudi National ID may be required.

Make sure the information matches your passport and Saudi visa/invitation documents.

Select the city and Visa Service Centre where you want to submit the application.

It is a good idea to check the centre’s exact address before travelling because some cities may have more than one centre.

8. Select the Appointment Date and Time

Choose an available date followed by the available time slot.

You may be offered Normal or Lounge service depending on availability at the selected centre.

9. Upload the Required Documents

If the booking process requests document uploads, upload clear copies in the permitted format and size.

Documents Required for Saudi Family Visit Visa

For a Family Visit application, Tasheer’s current document information for India lists requirements that can include:

For a spouse, the spouse’s name should generally correspond with the passport details. A marriage certificate or other supporting document may be required where necessary.

For other relatives, documents proving the relationship may be required.

Tasheer also states that additional documents may be requested in some cases. Therefore, applicants should check the Documents Required section on the Tasheer website for their specific centre and visa type before attending the appointment.

Tasheer Fees in India

Fees vary according to visa category and the services selected.

For example, the Tasheer website showed the following charges for a Family Visit visa application at Malappuram when checked in September 2026:

FeeApprox. Amount
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

This means the basic listed charges for a regular appointment in this example come to approximately ₹11,985, before any additional optional services or other applicable charges.

If Lounge service is selected instead of the regular service, the corresponding service fee is higher.

Tasheer also lists additional service charges such as:

Additional ServiceApprox. Amount

GST is charged separately on some services.

Important: These figures should be treated as indicative only. Visa fees and Tasheer service charges can vary by visa category, centre and applicable rules. Always check the amount displayed by Tasheer during your application before making payment.

What Happens at the Tasheer Centre?

Tasheer advises applicants with appointments to arrive not more than 15 minutes before the appointment time.

At the centre, you will generally receive a token and be called to a counter for document submission.

Depending on the application, you may also complete biometric enrolment. This can include your biographical information, fingerprints and facial image.

After submission, Tasheer forwards the application and associated documents to the relevant Saudi Embassy or Consulate for processing.

Tasheer states that applicants below six years and above 80 years of age are exempt from biometric enrolment.

How Long Does Tasheer Visa Processing Take?

Tasheer does not specify a guaranteed processing period.

According to its current guidance, processing depends partly on the completeness and accuracy of the documents submitted.

More importantly, Tasheer does not approve or reject Saudi visas. The assessment and decision are made by the relevant Saudi Embassy or Consulate.

Therefore, the time taken can vary from one application to another.

Choosing a Lounge appointment instead of a Normal appointment does not affect the Embassy or Consulate’s visa processing time.

How to Track Your Saudi Visa Application

After submitting your application, you can use the Track Status option on the Tasheer website.

You can track the application using your:

Appointment Reference Number or Visa Platform Number, together with your date of birth.

Complete the verification and select Get Details to check the latest available application status.

If you opted for Tasheer’s SMS service, you may also receive SMS updates when the application status changes.

Passport Collection

Once your processed application is ready for delivery, you can collect your passport from the Visa Service Centre.

Keep the original Invoice-cum-Receipt issued when you submitted the application, as it may be required when collecting the passport.

If another person is collecting the passport on your behalf, an authorization letter and identification documents may be required. Tasheer’s official authorization form states that the representative should carry the original Invoice-cum-Receipt, signed authorization letter and an accepted government-issued photo/signature ID.

Applicants who have opted for courier service can have their passport delivered to the address provided during the application process, subject to the applicable service conditions.

Important Tips Before Your Tasheer Appointment

Double-check your passport details, Saudi visa/invitation information and sponsor details before confirming the application. Carry your original passport and supporting documents even if copies were uploaded online.

Check the Documents Required page for your specific visa type and centre shortly before the appointment because requirements and fees can change.

Also remember that booking a Tasheer appointment does not guarantee visa approval. Tasheer handles the application process, while the final visa decision rests with the relevant Saudi authorities.
