Cryptocurrency Prices Today
Live mid-market prices for Bitcoin, Ethereum and six other major cryptocurrencies, quoted in both US dollars and Saudi riyals, with the exact time each figure was fetched.
Where these cryptocurrency prices come from
The page requests a batch of spot ticker prices from a public exchange feed the moment it loads, in one call, and stores the last successful response on your device. A second request pulls the current SAR exchange rate so the riyal column is derived rather than guessed.
If the exchange feed is unreachable, the page falls back to a second public price service coin by coin. Only coins that return a real price are shown, and the timestamp beside the live chip tells you exactly when that number was retrieved.
What a mid-market price means
A mid-market price is the midpoint between the best buy and sell orders available at the moment of the quote. It is the fairest single reference number, but it is not a price you can transact on: every exchange adds its own bid-ask spread and trading fee around it.
The riyal column converts the dollar price at the live SAR exchange rate. Since the riyal is pegged to the dollar, the riyal figure moves in step with the dollar price rather than adding a separate currency movement of its own.
Volatility, timing and what is not shown
Crypto prices can move several percent within a minute, so any figure is only true for the instant it was fetched. Treat the timestamp as part of the number and re-check immediately before you trade.
This page deliberately shows no 24-hour change column. The keyless feed used here does not return a change figure we can verify, and publishing an unverified movement would be worse than leaving the column out. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
Frequently asked questions
- How often are the crypto prices updated?
- They are fetched once when the page opens and can be pulled again at any time with the refresh button. The live chip shows the age of the figure currently on screen, so you never have to guess how current it is.
- What is a mid-market price?
- It is the midpoint between the best available buy and sell prices at the time of the quote. It is a clean reference rate, but the price you actually get on an exchange will differ because of the spread and the platform's fees.
- Why does Bitcoin show a different price on my exchange?
- Exchanges differ in liquidity, volume and order book depth, so their last trade price drifts apart from the aggregated reference. Differences of a fraction of a percent are normal and widen in fast markets.
- How is the SAR price calculated?
- The dollar price is multiplied by the live SAR exchange rate fetched alongside it. If the exchange table is unavailable, the page falls back to the official peg of 3.75 riyals per US dollar.
- Why is there no 24-hour change figure?
- The public feed this page uses returns prices but not a verifiable 24-hour change, so the column is omitted rather than estimated. Movement you can verify yourself by refreshing and comparing two timestamps.
- Are these prices a recommendation to buy?
- No. They are an informational reference only. Cryptocurrency is highly volatile and can lose value quickly, and this page does not constitute financial advice. Verify the price on your own exchange before transacting.
