HRSD Worker Status Check — Huroob by Border Number
If you only have your border number, this free HRSD / MOL inquiry finds your iqama number and then shows your full worker status — huroob status, nitaqat colour and work permit — without any signup.
Border number to iqama number
Your border number is the number issued at the Saudi–Yemen, Saudi–Sudan or Saudi–Egypt border when you entered the country. The HRSD records it alongside your iqama number.
This tool submits a non-saudi employee inquiry to MOL using your border number, recovers the matching iqama number, and then returns the worker status record for it.
When to use the border number check
Use it when you are a new arrival who has a border number but has not yet received an iqama number, when your iqama card is lost, or when an employer asks for your worker status before issuing the iqama.
Non-Saudi employee inquiry (MOL)
This is the same non-Saudi employee inquiry offered by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development website. The result shows your establishment, visa status, work permit status and nitaqat colour.
No account, payment or document upload is required for the check itself.

Frequently asked questions
- How can I check my worker status (huroob status) by Iqama number?
- Select “Iqama” as the ID type, enter your 8–10 digit Iqama number, solve the captcha and click Check Now. Your worker status — including any huroob (absconding) report — plus Nitaqat color, facility evaluation and establishment licenses appear instantly, free of charge.
- How do I find my Iqama number using my Border number?
- Select “Border”, enter your border number and submit. The HRSD/MOL result shows the worker details linked to that border number, including the assigned Iqama (employee) number once one has been issued.
- Can I check huroob status with a passport number?
- Yes. Select “Passport”, enter your passport number, choose your nationality, solve the captcha and check — the same free HRSD/MOL worker-status result is returned.
- Where does this huroob check information come from?
- Directly from HRSD (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development — mol.gov.sa). Results are fetched in real time from the official HRSD system to ensure accuracy.
- Is the huroob / worker status check really free?
- Yes — completely free, with no signup and no payment. Check by Iqama, border or passport number as often as you need.
- What does the MOL / non-Saudi employee inquiry show?
- Worker status (including huroob/absconding status), Nitaqat color, facility evaluation and rating, establishment licenses and sponsor details — the same data as a mol.gov.sa or moi.gov.sa iqama inquiry.
- What is the difference between a border number and an Iqama number?
- A border number is assigned when an expat worker enters Saudi Arabia; the Iqama number is the residency permit issued afterwards. You can enter either number in this free tool to check status and reveal the linked Iqama details.
- Can I check huroob status without an Absher account?
- Yes. This page runs the official HRSD non-Saudi employee inquiry, which needs no Absher login, no registration and no payment. Absher can also show your residency permit and iqama expiry, but you must sign in, and it does not return the establishment, license and nitaqat detail that the HRSD inquiry gives you.
- What is the difference between the HRSD, Absher and Muqeem checks?
- HRSD is the free government labor-status inquiry and returns worker status, huroob status, nitaqat color, facility evaluation and licenses without any account. Absher confirms residency permit and iqama expiry but requires a login. Muqeem is an employer-run residency tracking platform and only covers workers already set up on it.
- What is my labor status and is my residency permit valid?
- The check returns your job and labor status, whether an absence-from-work (huroob) report is registered, your nitaqat color, the establishment's evaluation and rating, and its licenses. Your residency permit validity is reflected in the visa and work permit status shown in the same result.
- Is the worker status check really free?
- Yes. Checking worker or huroob status by iqama, border or passport number is completely free and needs no registration.
- What is the difference between horof check and huroob check?
- They are the same service. “Horof” and “hurob” are common spelling variants of “huroob” used across the Gulf and South Asia.
- Does the huroob check show my Nitaqat colour?
- Yes. The result includes the visa status, work permit status and the Nitaqat (labour classification) colour of the establishment.
- I do not know my iqama number yet. What can I do?
- Use the HRSD border number check, which finds your iqama number from your border number first.
- Can I check huroob status on the official HRSD government website?
- Yes. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development runs the same inquiry on its own portal at https://es.hrsd.gov.sa/IndividualUser/BasicInfo.aspx — this page links directly to it. The result here is fetched from that same HRSD system, so both sources show identical worker status, huroob status, nitaqat colour and work permit details.
